The best thing I have found for my cast iron! Beef tallow has a higher smoke point than other fats like lard, so it naturally makes a great seasoning for you pans.
A tablespoon of this seasoning, some course salt, a little scrub on the heat and it will clean your pans up and leave them ready for the next use.
